Tim heads the Open Source & Ecosystem team within Ericsson’s Cloud Systems and Technology unit. The team has the role to support development teams in their open source community work, ensure open source policy compliance and to drive strategic upstream projects. In OPNFV, Tim is the Ericsson representative in the TSC and PTL of the SDNVPN project. His previous work experience within SDN and NFV is mainly in the area of test tools and methodologies for DPDK/accelerated datapath software as well as proof-of-concept work for VNF onboarding. Before joining NFV product development, Tim used to be with Ericsson Research in the Wireless Access Networks section, where he served in project management and standardization delegate roles. Before joining Ericsson, Tim was with RWTH Aachen Univeristy at the Communication Networks institute, where he researched analytical modeling methods for dimensioning of packet networks and radio spectrum demand.
