Steven Wright

Lead MTS
Steven Wright is a Lead Member of Technical Staff with AT&T where I convert challenges at the intersection of business, technology and law into opportunities. I am most excited when I have the opportunity to negotiate industry technology agreements that enable new ecosystems. The depth and breadth of my training (5 degrees), industry experience (30+ years, 4 countries), publications and awards distinguish the value that I bring to these challenges. The creation of new opportunities and ecosystems provides value to my internal technical and commercial clients as well as the industry at large.
Dr Wright is the Project Team Lead (PTL) for the VNF Requirements Project and the VNF Validation Project at ONAP and previously chaired the ETSI NFV ISG, and the End User Advisory Group at OPNFV.
His career has involved research, development, program management, product management, university faculty and board roles; resulting in 50+ patents and a number of diverse publications. His work with a number of standardization bodies impacted the certification regimes based on their specifications. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia. His degrees are in Law (GSU JD), Computer Engineering (NCSU PhD), Computer Information Systems (BU, MS), Marketing/Finance (ASU, MBA) and Electrical Engineering (USQ, B.Eng).
