I love open source and love bringing more open source to more people and teams. My current role at GitHub fits that perfectly – enabling organizations to engage with open source @ scale. Whether it’s understanding communities and business models, or open source governance and compliance, or security, or training and business enablement, I get a kick out of making it understandable and easy, and can sometimes be found talking about this at conferences or on my blog.

A lot of what I do now relates to a four year stint running the Open Source Programs Office at Microsoft. Shepherding and helping the company through one of its most profound transformations ever, from being the epitome of proprietary software shops to being a forerunner in open source. It was a privilege, a thrill and a challenge.
