Women in Open Source Meeting

The Women in Open Source group will discuss its focus and goals for 2017, as well as determine the activities the group would like to support and/or host throughout the year. For example, we’re planning a hosted call in the coming months on how to submit a winning proposal for speaking at an event. But there will many opportunities for us have an impact throughout this year, from speakership and article programs to activities around the Open Source Summit to Grace Hopper in October and more. We’re excited to hear your ideas.

Note: Thank you to everyone who attended our session yesterday. To continue the conversation, share ideas, get updates and learn about future Women in Open Source activities, please join the Slack channel and email list.

Post-Summit Resort Activities
Due to overnight weather conditions, the snowshoe and cross-country skiing trails will be closed this morning as the trails are unsafe due to large areas of standing water throughout the trails.  Therefore, Snowshoeing and Cross-Country Skiing will not be available as an activity today.

If you would still like to participate in activities, you will have two options this morning between 9:30a-12:00p:

1. Sledding - Please proceed to the Recreation Department to pick up your sled.
2. Broomball on the Skating Rink - Please check in with the Recreation Department to collect equipment for broomball*Note, the skating rink is NOT skateable - however, the ice is currently perfect for a game of broomball.

Directions to the Recreation Department: From the Lobby, take the stairs down to the meeting level, make a right at the bottom of the stairs, proceed out the glass doors and walk under the waterfall.  Enter the building through the next set of glass doors and walk down the stairs to the recreation department.

Should you have any questions or need assistance finding the Recreation Department - please visit the hotel front desk or concierge.
