The IO Visor Project has made what seemed impossible, completely possible. From building the "Universal in-kernel virtual machine" to exceeding performance expectations of the kernel with eXpress Data Path (XDP), the IO Visor community has overcome barriers and up streamed new innovations that developers are discovering and sharing with more developers across the world. The lightning talk will review recent developments of IO Visor Project and what's coming in 2017. It will also show how a small, understated community is solving pain points of virtualization, security, performance, analytics, and virtual networking while ultimately, modernizing the kernel for the new paradigm of Linux-driven computing.
