Networking and telecommunications technology adoption has been traditionally driven by standardization, which meticulously specified detailed requirements because of the high-cost of productization. Conventional methods prove to be infeasible to standardize software-based functionality, considering the complexity and scope.

This panel discussion addresses why open source will play a vital role in technical standardization in the cloud era. Our panelists consist of experts who are actively participating in SDOs and open source projects, who will reveal how open source is transforming the standardization process to accelerate the entire technology adoption lifecycle.
