Engineers are having more trouble determining the difference between contributions to FOSS projects and regular work; with both employers and FOSS projects having equal difficulty keeping separated. Add the growing Polyglot Enterprise into the mix for good measure - and an overwhelming glut of tools, languages, frameworks, and philosophies - and the ride gets pretty bumpy.

What does 2017 look like? What can FOSS organizers, the enterprise, and engineers all do to keep the ride smooth?

Mitch leans on his experience with founding and forking major FOSS projects, integrating with large enterprise, and contributing to public and private projects.
